Dr. Naoum and his team do their best to offer you a safe and positive experience, in terms of your treatment, as well as your stay in our city.
Since there are certain details you will have to take into consideration before traveling for cosmetic gynecology surgery, we have prepared a guide that will help you plan and organize all the aspects of your travel easily and thoroughly.
Consulting our Clinic
As for the consultation before scheduling any procedure, for the purpose of your information, there are two options; either an in-person consultation at our premises, if you happen to be in our city or are willing to travel to Athens, or a distant – online meeting with Dr. Naoum and his team, if visiting Athens before the operation is not convenient for you.
Consulting the doctor in person
If you opt for an in-office consultation, you will have the chance to discuss your concerns, your expectations, questions or possible doubts and all the possibilities there are for you with the doctor. Dr. Naoum will provide you with a completely personalized plan and introduce you to the members of his team who will be there for you throughout the procedure.
You will also have the chance to talk about the details of the surgical process with the doctor, such as the preparation you will have to do and information about medications you may need to receive and you will be given a price quote for the surgery. In this case, if you wish, you may schedule the procedure in the days following your meeting with the doctor. We can, also, recommend different things you can do during your free time in Athens.
Distant – Online Consultation
Even if traveling to Athens before the surgery is not possible for you, you can contact the doctor and our team by phone, email or have an online meeting. In this case, you will need to provide us with your medical history as well as some photos depicting the part of your body that concerns you. There have to be at least three pictures of the area in question, one facing the camera and two depicting the right and the left side of it, so that the doctor can evaluate the problem and suggest the most suitable procedure for you. In case you feel really uncomfortable sending photos depicting nude body parts, we will try to figure out an alternative solution.
Surgery Scheduling / Payment Procedures
After the consultation – either in-office or online – you may consider all the information about the procedure and the price quote, evaluate your options and if you decide to take the next step, together we will schedule your surgery for the most convenient date according to your plans. After we fix the date, a deposit will be required of you, the amount of which will be decided during your consultation. All forms of payment are accepted.
Preparations & Recovery
Dr. Naoum and his team will work with you every step of the way, to make sure your experience is completely safe, stress-free and well-planned. Careful planning and preparation in advance are absolutely necessary for your travel, as well as the surgical and recovery process.
Pre-surgical stage
Regarding the pre-surgical period, you will be asked to take specific precautions and follow certain instructions, such as:
Recovery process
Once the procedure is complete, Dr. Naoum and his team will do their best to safely and effectively speed up the recovery process. Of course, some discomfort and soreness is always expected after a surgery, but the doctor will prescribe some oral medication for the pain. For your convenience, we suggest that you travel with a relative or friend, especially in case anesthesia is required for your surgery, so that they take care of you during the first hours after the procedure, when you will also need to be transported back to your hotel.
All about your stay
During your consultation with the doctor, you will have the chance to discuss all the specifics of your travel arrangements, based on the timeline and details of your recovery, but in general the recommended length of your stay depends on the kind of surgery you undergo.
For example:
- For procedures such as Vagitense /G Shot / Vaginal lifting, a two-to four-day stay is recommended, while arriving at least two days before the surgery and leaving two days after will be required.
- For procedures such as Labia Majora / Labia Minora / Mom Makeover, an eight-to ten-day stay is recommended, while you are required to arrive at least two days before the surgery and leave at least three days after, in case of surgery, or one day after, in case of a non-invasive treatment.
From the Airport to our Clinic
If you are taking a flight, you will arrive at the Athens International Airport, the major airport of the city and the largest airport in Greece. If you want to get directly from the airport to our clinic, you have three options:
- You can either take a taxi, which is about a 30- minute ride, or use the public transport, which is also very simple.
- If you use the metro from the airport, you should know that the closest station to our clinic is the Ampelokipi metro station, from where it takes a 7-8-minute walk to reach the office.
If you use the X95 bus from the Airport, you can stop at the Plateia Mavili (Mavili Square) station which is only a 5-minute walk from our clinic.
Accommodation
If you wish to stay close to the clinic for your own convenience after your procedure, we can recommend you some well-appointed hotels at short walking distances from our clinic:
What to do in your free time
If you decide to come to Athens some days before the surgery, you will have the opportunity to visit some of the most important sights of the city, some of the remains of its glorious ancient culture. You could visit the sacred rock of the Acropolis and its Museum, the National Art Gallery and take the cable car to the Lycabettus hill. You will also have the chance to taste traditional Greek cuisine and walk in the small picturesque streets of Plaka, the oldest district in the center of Athens. During your recovery, your traveling companion might be interested in exploring some of them, too.
